Today’s Birthdays

Today was so full of great birthdays that it felt right to fire up the old wordpress page. On this sight you will find my other business. I have a passion to help people organize yesterday’s memories. Often times they feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start. I love to help people start and get them organized and stored for generations to come.

Let’s get started.

On the Holtberg branch.

Rosella Virginia Halgerson was born on this day in 1908. Rosella is the daughter of Charles and Caroline Halgeson. You may recall that Charles is the youngest son of Peter and Lisa Hultberg of Belgrade. He went on to be raised by his oldest sister, Johanna and her husband, John Helgerson.

Rosella was raised in Royalton, Minnesota, on the family Dairy farm. Rosella married John Melvine Sandberg in 1937. The 1940’s census, shows the John was a salesman at an automobile business. Sadly, Rosella passed away at the young age of 56. Happy Heavenly Birthday to you.

Could you imagine sharing your birthday with your little brother? Rosella did. Lester Kermit Halgerson was born on this day in 1913. Five years after his sister, Rosella. Lester enlisted in WWII and served in the US ARMY. Lester went on to marry Blanche M Splettstoesser in 1941. They lived in the Brainerd area where they raised 3 children. Happy Heavenly Birthday and Thank you for your service to this country.
